OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT MAGISTRATE, PUDUCHERRY:ORDER: Whereas, the Election Commission of India, vide its Press Note No. ECI/PN/114/2026, dated 07-09-2026 has declared the schedule for Bye-Elections to Thattanchavady Assembly Constituency and the poll is scheduled to be held on 06-10-2026. And whereas, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, orders under section 163 of BNSS, 2023 has to be issued regarding ban on unlawful assembly and prohibition on holding of public meetings during the period of 48 hours ending with the hour fixed for close of poll.

DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby directs that all the Arrack, Toddy and Liquor Shops, Bars and Restaurants serving liquor within 09 – Thattanchavady Assembly Constituency shall remain closed from 6.00 p.m. on the 04th day of October, 2026 to 06th day of October, 2026 on account of polling day and on the 09th day of October, 2026 on account of counting of votes.

Ms. No. 9, Puducherry, dated 02nd April 2025, published in the Gazette of Puducherry, Part-I, Extraordinary, No. 41, dated 04th April 2025, has declared Heat Wave, Thunderstorm and Lightning, and Sea Erosion as State Specific Disasters within the local context of the Union territory of Puducherry.

HOME DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION:Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to appoint the following Officers to perform the functions of the Civil Authority under the said Act, the Immigration and Foreigners Rules, 2025 and the Immigration and Foreigners Orders, 2025 within the jurisdiction of the District concerned.

PUDUCHERRY PLANNING AUTHORITY, PUDUCHERRY: NOTIFICATION:Puducherry Planning Authority, has received requests for change of land use in the notified Comprehensive Development Plan for Puducherry Planning Area – 2036 in respect of certain lands (as listed below). The requests have been recommended by the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Board and concurred to call for objections / suggestions from the public regarding the following proposed land use changes.

PUDUCHERRY TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY: ORDINANCE-5:Puducherry Technological University Act, 2019, the Secretary to Government (Education)-cum-Chairman of the Governing Body of Puducherry Engineering College hereby accords approval of the Ordinance framed by the University in pursuance of section 41 of PTU (First) Statutes, 2022 for conduct of Convocation of the University for conferring of degrees or for other purposes of Puducherry Technological University.
