COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Act No. 6 of 2017), and in supersession of the notification of the Commercial Taxes Secretariat, Government of Puducherry issued vide G.O. Ms. No. 1/2017-Puducherry GST (Rate), dated 29th June, 2017, published in the Gazette of Puducherry, Extraordinary Part-I, No. 95, dated 29th June, 2017, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby notifies the rate of State Tax.

COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby exempts intra-State supplies of goods, the description of which is specified in column (3) of the Schedule appended to this notification, falling under the tariff item, sub-heading, heading or Chapter, as the case may be, as specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Schedule, from the whole of the State Tax leviable thereon under section 9 of the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, Puducherry Goods and Services Tax (Third Amendment) Rules, 2025.

COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby notifies the following category of registered persons who shall not be allowed refund on provisional basis under the said Act.

COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Act No. 6 of 2017), the Commissioner of State Tax, Puducherry, on the recommendations of the Council, in respect of filing of annual return for the financial year 2024-25 onwards, hereby exempts the registered person whose aggregate turnover in any financial year is up to two crore rupees, from filing annual return that said financial year.

HOME DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, having been satisfied that the circumstances prevailing in the Union territory of Puducherry are likely to create a tense
law and order situation, and it is necessary so to do hereby directs the District Magistrate, Puducherry and Karaikal shall also exercise the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act in respect of their jurisdiction for a further period of six months from 14-09-2025.

LAW DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to nominate Hon’ble Mrs. Justice J. Nisha Banu, a Senior Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras as the Executive Chairman of the Union territory of Puducherry Legal Services Authority, Puducherry, in the place of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. Suresh Kumar.

HIGHER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION: NOTIFICATION: Higher Education more accessible and to promote higher education and provide continued support to the student community and to prevent discontinuance of higher studies due to financial constraints the Government of Puducherry has decided to extend Free Education (100% tuition fee waiver) for all the students studying in Government/Society College against Government Quota seats (All regions) from the Academic Year 2024-25.
