LAW DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION:Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to nominate Hon’ble Mr. Justice M.S. Ramesh, a Senior Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras as the Executive Chairman of the Union territory of Puducherry Legal Services Authority, Puducherry, in the place of Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Nisha Banu.

HOME DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION:The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to declare that all Government Offices/Government Undertakings, Boards and other Institutions under the control of Government of Puducherry, and all Banking Institutions including Co-operative Banks in the Union territory of Puducherry, shall be closed on the days specified in the notification in Appendix-I and Appendix-II, respectively during the Calendar Year, 2026.

DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT: DECLARATION:Whereas, the Government having been satisfied that an extent of 00.52.66 H.A.Ca of lands situated at No. 47 -
Thirukanji Revenue Village and an extent of 00.32.00 H.A.Ca of land situated at 46 - Odiampet Revenue Village in the Puducherry District are required for public purpose, viz., “Construction of approach road for the newly constructed bridge across River Sankaraparani connecting Odiampet and Thirukanji Villages in Puducherry.”

DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL SUPPLIES AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS: NOTIFICATION:The Government has reconstituted the State Level Committee on Standardization and Quality Systems under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Government of Puducherry, for a period of 3 (three) years from the date of publication of this order.

COMMERCIAL TAXES SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION:Puducherry Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act No. 8 of 2025), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby appoints the lst day of October, 2025, as the date on which the provisions of clauses (ii) and (iii) of section 2, sections 3 to 5 and sections 7 to 15 of the said Act, shall come into force.

COMMERCIAL TAXES DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION:Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Act No. 6 of 2017), the Commissioner of State Tax, on the recommendations of the Council, hereby extends the time-limit for furnishing the return in FORM GSTR-3B electronically, through the common portal, by the registered persons, as specified.

PUDUCHERRY PLANNING AUTHORITY, PUDUCHERRY: NOTIFICATION:The Government of Puducherry has approved the change of land use in respect of the below mentioned land in the Puducherry Planning Area, Puducherry, from the present land use in the notified Comprehensive Development Plan for Puducherry Planning Area – 2036 to various uses vide G.O. Ms. No. 21/2024-Hg., dated 12-09-2024 of the Chief Secretariat (Housing), Government of Puducherry.

PUDUCHERRY PLANNING AUTHORITY, PUDUCHERRY: NOTIFICATION:Puducherry Planning Authority has received requests for change of Land use in the Notified Comprehensive Development Plan for Puducherry Planning Area – 2036 in respect of certain lands (as listed below). The requests have been recommended by the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Board in its 73rd meeting and concurred to call for objections/suggestions from the public regarding the following proposed Land use changes.

Ms. No. 2/2024-Hg., dated 15-03-2024 of the Chief Secretariat (Housing), Government of Puducherry.
