LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: It is hereby notified that Thiru A. Namassivayam, who was elected to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from 05-Villianur Assembly Constituency and Thiru E. Theeppainthan, who was elected to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from 03-Ossudu Assembly Constituency, tendered resignation from the Membership of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly and resignation has been accepted by the Hon’ble Speaker, Puducherry Legislative Assembly, with effect from the forenoon of 25th January 2021.

TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION: Puducherry Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1967 (Act 5 of 1967), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to extend the time-limit up to 28-02-2021 for the payment of Motor Vehicles Tax for the 4th quarter of the financial year 2020-21.

TRANSPORT SECRETARIAT: NOTIFICATION: Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of 1988), Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby specifies that the offences punishable under sections mentioned in column (3) of the Table (A), in respect of all category of vehicles, may either before or after institution of prosecution be compounded by the officers as mentioned in Table.

DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT: NOTIFICATION: Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby extends the validity period of the Notification No. 2462-B/DCE/S1/2020-21, dated 30th November, 2020, published in Extraordinary Part-I Gazette of Puducherry, No. 173, dated 30th November, 2020, issued in respect of levy of Special Excise Duty on the liquor sold in the Union territory of Puducherry, till 31st March, 2021.
