DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT: NOTIFICATION: Puducherry Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 2000 (Act No.6 of 2000), preventing defacement, all political/election-related advertisements in and private places open to public view shall be prohibited in the whole of the Union territory of Puducherry.

ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT: NOTIFICATION: The Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby specifies that the Covid-19 suspect or affected persons, certified by competent authority, who applies for voting by postal ballot paper, and subject to verification of his request by the Returning Officer concerned, would be a class of persons to give vote by postal ballot in the forthcoming general elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
